Unlike Sovereign and Monarch, Horizon has gained some of her experience sailing under the guidance of Celebrity Cruises and not Royal Caribbean. Whilst she is operated by Pullmantur sister company, Croisières de France, she offers everything you would expect to find from a Pullmantur cruise just with French crew members instead of Spanish.
Speaking of the crew, Horizon’s fun and vibrant atmosphere is created through the passion that they have to ensure everybody is enjoying themselves. Whether you are relaxing by the pool or working up a sweat in the gym; they will do everything they can to offer the most enjoyable experience on the seas.
The public spaces are similar to those found on the Pullmantur ships. There are a variety of options when it comes to meals, numerous places to relax, and stunning views wherever you turn. In fact, 80% all the ship’s cabins have vistas of the sea, whilst 68 of the cabins have luxurious private balconies.
A recent refit has brought this classic vessel up to date without removing any of her charm, and spacious public areas include three restaurants, a theatre lounge, and a casino. Horizon spreads her time between the sunny Caribbean and the calm waters of the Mediterranean.
From the extravagant Royal Suites to the inside and outside cabins that offer plenty of facilities as standard, your accommodation will welcome you with open arms and invite you to feel at home during your brief time onboard the ship.
Families can make the most of cabins with upper berths so that up to four people can stay together and larger groups could opt for the adjoining rooms that can be found on some of their ships.
For added luxury you can choose a suite or cabin that benefits from its own private balcony. This outside space is sure to provide an abundance of fantastic views and will be the perfect place to watch the sun rise or set over the sea.
AccommodationWhilst some ships have more dining options than others, you can be assured that the quality and choice of food on offer is the same across the Pullmantur fleet. On each vessel there will be the chance to dine in formal surroundings or more casually, and you can decide to eat in restaurants that stick to regimented seating times or come and go as you please in the many buffet areas. Most of their ships provide the option to eat outside if you wish; meaning you can make the most of those balmy evenings and never miss a drop of the glorious sunshine.
As well as the excellent food choice, there is also a great selection of wine to accompany your meals. This, of course, will be included in your all-inclusive package and their knowledgeable waiters can always recommend something enticing if you are unsure of what to choose.
As well as providing a la carte and buffet options at certain mealtimes, there will also be snacks and light bites available throughout the day to keep you going. Themed evenings are also a common occurrence during which certain areas of the ship are transformed to reflect a specific country of subject.
DiningWhilst there is always something happening on this lively ship, there are still plenty of opportunities to find a quiet corner and take a moment for yourself. The elegant lounges offer the chance to find some peace and quiet during the day. Other areas such as the library and card room provide a relaxing retreat for those who like to take it easy.
