Itinerary

This first leg of the first ever expedition world cruise will start crossing the Drake Passage, heading for the last untouched continent before exploring the Chilean Fjords and Lake Region. While Antarctica offers spectacular icebergs, calving glaciers, and the possibility of up-close encounters with penguins ashore, seals on ice floes, and whales surfacing close to the ship, the cruise through the Chilean Fjords will permit to visit one of Chile's most remote and isolated settlements, marvel at the art and architecture of Chile's wooden churches (UNESCO World Heritage) and explore Chile's Lake Region. Weather depending, we will take daily Zodiac departures in Antarctica and cruise amidst colourful icebergs, step ashore to visit a variety of penguin rookeries on excursions led by our team of natural history experts, and perhaps go kayaking in Antarctica under the guidance of certified instructors. Throughout the voyage, learn about the geology, wildlife, botany and history, as well as the explorers and their exploration of these spectacular areas through lecture presentations offered by your knowledgeable onboard Expedition Team.
